2008 Parade Highlights

 Everyone loves a Parade! As Seattle's jewel for 59 years, the Southwest Airlines Torchlight Parade at Seafair draws an annual 300,000 on-site spectators and an additional 700,000 television viewers, as well as remote radio broadcasts from stations along Fourth Avenue. It is the largest nighttime parade in the Northwest and the most spectacular!
Seafair is thrilled to have Southwest Airlines return as the longest running title sponsor of the Torchlight Parade. Southwest Airlines has been an enthusiastic supporter of the Seattle community and we thank them for their 15-year sponsorship!
2008 Grand Marshal: Sig Hansen!
Seafair is pleased to announce our 2008 Grand Marshal... Sig Hansen of the Discovery Channel documentary series Deadliest Catch! Seattle Native Sig Hansen spends his days crab fishing on the Bering Sea of Alaska and has one of the most dangerous professions imaginable. Sig truly encompasses this year's Parade theme... Amazing Adventure!
