The KeyBank Air Show at Seafair presented by Boeing marks the culmination of the five-week festival and is a true highlight for all in attendance. During one weekend each year, air show fans witness captivating sights as the best pilots in the world perform heart-pounding stunts over Lake Washington. In addition to the U.S. Navy Blue Angels, the 2008 lineup features a variety of acts that will make up the best Air Show to date.
The U.S. Navy Blue Angels Return
After awarding Seafair as the "Air Show of the Year" in 2006, the U.S. Navy Blue Angels return to the skies above Lake Washington, August 1-3. The precision and creativity of the six pilots behind the yokes of the Boeing F/A-18 Hornets make the group one of the most recognized in the sky. Graceful solo performances, the four-plane diamond and six-plane delta formations are just a few of the aerobatic maneuvers these talented pilots perform. Flying every year since 1972, the U.S. Navy Blue Angels continue to serve as positive role models and goodwill ambassadors for the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps.

Don't Miss Bill Leff and the Twightlight Air Show
Saturday evening, August 2
Pilot Bill Leff will dazzle audiences with an amazing airborn fireworks display, pyrotechnic effects and light show completely choreographed to music in his T-6 Texan. Since learrning to fly at the age of 15 and serving as a paper boy for the famous Wright family, Leff has proven his love of flying and entertained audiences with captivating maneuvers worldwide. The Qwest Star Fire Air Show Performance will be Seafair's only twilight show!
U.S. Air Force Reserve Biplane
The red, white and blue biplane returns to Seafair, recreating the first form of civil aviation and exhibition, once founded by the Wright Brothers. As a true "barnstormer," Major Ed Hamill, F-16 fighter jet instructor for the U.S. Air Force Reserve, fulfills his lifelong goal of serving his country and performing as an acrobatic pilot.
Hamill's biplane is patterned after one built 50 years ago with a wingspan of only 20 feet, covered in Dacron cloth. This is pure flying - no computer, no auto-pilot, just a stick and rudder and the plane performs swoops, twirls and flips, exactly as Ed tells it to do. Yak Father/Son Formation Show
Bellevue, Washington resident Bud Granley and son Ross Granley will stun crowds with their Yak Father/Son Formation Show. This father, son team performing in the slow flying Yaks is breathtaking. Inside and outside rolls, rolls around each other, and many more complicated maneuvers that will bring gasps from the crowd.
John Klatt Airshows
Seafair welcomes John Klatt Airshows and the Guarding America, Defending Freedom Aerobatic Team. Major Klatt fulfilled his dream of learning to fly in the Air National Guard and now brings to Seafair more than two decades of aviation experience. Weighingin at 1,250 pounds, Klatt’s world famous Staudacher S-300D is a lightweight plane, built specifically for unlimited aerobatics, competitionand features a specialty smoke system that turns a gallon a minute into fun for all in attendance.
Greg Poe & the Endless Energy Tour
In addition, Greg Poe and the Endless Energy Tour will engage audiences of all ages, sharing experiences behind the throttle as well as delivering life’s important lesson: dream big and never give up on your dreams. With his musically choreographed maneuvers such as the Tsunami, Poe Pinwheel and Triple Vortex, Poe’s in-you-face performance in his Ethanol Edge 540 aircraft has made him a fan-favorite at air shows around the world.
United States Marine Corps AV-8b "Harrier" Jet
Finally, the KeyBank Air Show will feature a United States Marine Corps AV-8B “Harrier” demonstration. The mission of the Harrier is to attack and destroy surface or air targets, to escort helicopters and conduct deep air support in both day and night conditions. Recently returned from operations in Iraq, the Harrier served as the Marine Corps’ primary aircraft supporting Marine infantrymen.
The KeyBank Air Show presented by Boeing also features a search and rescue demonstration by the U.S. Coast Guard and more.
