Blues Buzz Seattle BLUES RETURN FOR 2010 AIR SHOW!
Media Alert FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE The familiar summertime roar of a Navy Blue Angel was heard over the skies of Seattle Wednesday morning as Blues Jet #7 visited the Northwest for the annual winter briefing meetings. While in Seattle the Blue Angels will meet with Seafair officials, laying the foundation for the 2010 Seafair Air Show presented by Boeing (August 6-8). WHAT: Navy Blue Angel Jet #7 will arrive at Clay Lacy Aviation (east side Boeing Field) for winter briefing meetings. WHEN: Wednesday, January 6, expected between 9:30 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. (Please contact Dan Wartelle for specific timing, as the Blue Angels often change their arrival times.) WHERE: Clay Lacy Aviation (8285 Perimeter Road S.). WHO: Blue Angels #7 Lieutenant C.J. Simonson and #8 Lieutenant Amy Tomlinson ***Pilots will be available for interviews*** DEPARTURE: The Navy Blue Angels depart Clay Lacy Aviation Thursday, January 7, at approximately 2:00 p.m. 2010 SEAFAIR FESTIVAL DATES Rock ‘n’ Roll Seattle Marathon and ½ Marathon, June 26 Seafair Milk Carton Derby, July 10 Benaroya Research Institute Triathlon, July 18 Seafair Scholarship Program for Women, July 31 Seafair Torchlight Run, July 31 Alaska Airlines Torchlight Parade, July 31 Seafair Hydroplane Race, August 6-8 Seafair Air Show, presented by Boeing, August 6-8 Seafair is an independent, not-for-profit organization that serves as the premier summertime celebration for the Greater Seattle area. Seafair depends on corporate sponsorship dollars and ticket purchases to fund its’ events and does not receive government funding to offset expenses. Seafair provides numerous free events including the Milk Carton Derby, Torchlight Parade, Holiday Cruise for disabled adults, Seafair Scholarship Program for Women and Seafair High School Ambassador Program, in addition to its annual Hydroplane Race and Air Show. ### |
